Overview

Anglia Ruskin University was awarded university status in 1992. Today, with a student population of 25,500, the university is one of the largest universities in the East of England, and a large provider of part-time education.

The students are on courses leading to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as to a range of professional qualifications. In addition to being one of the most significant suppliers of nurses and teachers to the professions, the university offers an ever expanding range of contemporary courses designed to meet the needs of the individual and the requirements of a knowledge-based economy.

Main campuses at Cambridge and Chelmsford attract students not only from the East of England but in increasing numbers from mainland Europe and from further afield. In addition, the University has an extensive network of contacts with institutions throughout the world, delivering courses in countries as far removed as Malaysia and Trinidad

Accomodation

Location

Based in the east of England, Anglia Ruskin has two modern campuses in two exciting cities, both less than one hour away from London.

People come from all over the world to experience the famous academic city of Cambridge. Full of interesting people, places, and things to do, Cambridge is the perfect student city.

The historic county town of Chelmsford, just 30 minutes from London, boasts a brand new campus near the town centre. There are extensive parks and beautiful countryside as well as modern shopping centres and markets. The town has three theatres as well as being home to the internationally renowned V Festival.

Both Cambridge and Chelmsford were rated in the top ten best places to live in the UK last year, and Anglia Ruskin's campuses are right in the centre of both cities, with state of the art learning, support, and recreational facilities.

A Medical Centre with an NHS GP surgery is available during the semester offering the following services:

The Medical Centre is open from Monday to Friday, 09.00 until 17.00 and located in the Mumford Building (MUM 101)
