Robert Gordon University

Overview

Robert Gordon University is a dynamic, modern place to study with an international reputation for providing high quality education from undergraduate through to PhD level.
Well-established relationships with professional bodies, industrial organisations, government departments and research institutes ensure that all taught content is relevant and meets industry standards. The majority of Robert Gordon University courses enable part-time study, with an increasing number also available via distance learning through the University's online learning environment, CampusMoodle.
The Garthdee campus, in a peaceful riverside setting, started life as home to Gray's School of Art and the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture & Built Environment. In 1998, its development began with the building of Aberdeen Business School (then known as the Faculty of Management), designed by renowned architect Norman Foster.
The campus continued to grow with the addition of the Faculty of Health & Social Care in 2002 (home to the Schools of Health Sciences, Nursing & Midwifery and Applied Social Studies) and the £11million sports centre, RGU:SPORT, in 2005. Many of the University's administrative departments have been rehomed at Garthdee and other support facilities are also there, including a nursery and medical practice.
The University is committed to the development of the campus through its Masterplan, with ambitious plans for future growth.
