Support for International Student
It is important that all international students receive all the advice and support they need while studying abroad and GCU is renowned for excellent levels of international student support. The university has consistently been rated one of the top in the UK for International Student Experience (i-graduate survey) and has also been awarded the prestigious Times Higher Education Award for Outstanding Support for Overseas StudentsWhether you need to know how to open a bank account, want help in renewing your visa or simply want to have a chat, the International Student Support Service is available to all international Students. ISSS offers a variety of services ranging from one-to-one appointments and drop in sessions to social activities and weekend trips to the Scottish Highlands. With events happening in the evening and weekends as well as during the day, students can come along at the time most convenient for them.
Facilities

The Saltire Centre is the home to the university library and is the focus of learning and student services at Glasgow Caledonian University. The five-floor facility offers students:

The recently refurbished multifaith centre is situated at the heart of the campus and offers worship facilities for individuals and groups of every faith. Chaplains of all faiths are available to support and advise international students. There are also places of worship for individual religions throughout Glasgow.
The University's sport and recreation centre provides students with access to the latest fitness equipment and sports facilities. There are many varied activities in which students can participate, ranging from relaxation therapies to more energetic pastimes such as kickboxing and aerobics. Trained staff are always on hand to provide assistance and advice in areas such as exercise techniques, fitness assessment, diet and nutrition.
Accommodation
Accommodation at Caledonian Court is guaranteed for all international students. Our modern, self-catering accommodation, consisting of 100 flats, houses 660 students. Each self contained flat has six to eight bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen, complete with crockery and utensils. Private en-suite facilities are available in 340 rooms and most rooms are single, with only a few twin rooms. Our ‘village within the city’, Caledonian Court, is the perfect place to live if you’re looking for that home-from-home atmosphere. Living at Caledonian Court is an ideal way to make friends with people from all over the world.- On-campus, city centre location

Location
Situated just across the road from our campus, Caledonian Court is a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of the university. Perfect for those early morning lectures, you can roll out of bed at five to nine and still be in the classroom in time for your first tutorial.
