Established as a university in 1992, the University of East London is a modern university with a heritage dating back to 1898. The ultra-modern Docklands Campus, opened in 2000, was London's first new university campus in 50 years. The University of East London is a successful modern university, which is increasingly recognised for excellence in both teaching and research across a range of disciplines, and for our distinctive vision, values and culture. The campuses at Docklands and Stratford are located in East London, close to the major financial centre of Canary Wharf and the region chosen to host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.

The International Office is normally open Monday to Friday from 10:00 – 16:00 during term-time. Our Student Reception is located at our Docklands Campus in the West Building, second floor, Room 2.12A.
During vacation periods, we advise students to call in advance to ensure that the appropriate member of staff is available to meet you.
Please note: The International Office reception desk is currently open from 10.00 - 12.00 and 2.00 - 4.00 daily, for staffing reasons.

Accommodation

Around 800 rooms are available in the University of East London’s brand-new student village, opened in 2007. A further 400 rooms are available in the distinctive and colourful circular Halls of Residence. Campus

Health centre

There is a full range of on-campus health facilities at the University of East London with doctors, nurses and dentists. All students have full access to the health centre and all health care fees are fully covered by the National Health Service for full time students.
